easy-clean blender
This design was inspired by the need for blenders to be easier to clean. This was addressed through the addition of a front spout and an integrated squeegee attachment.
After blending, simply attach the squeegee and activate the blender. Residue collects in the spout, enabling effortless removal in a single motion.
The design comprises of a friction fit lid, blade, squeegee, body, gear shaft, gasket and base.
This project focused on developing ideation, industrial design and rendering skills. There are several next steps still required in the design process, with designing a housing connecting the base to body, encasing a sealing gasket. Validation is also required to confirm that the spout does not interefere with food blending, and FEA to verify the squeegee can withstand the forces generated while blending up to 2L of contents.
